Lakers are 2009 NBA Champions
Last year we lost the finals to those bloody Celtics and the last game they humiliated us wining their 4ht game by 39 points, it was painful to watch as a Lakers fan.
Recently the teams that lost the finals and returned next year had lost both and Orlando came to the finals looking pretty sharp, but they did everything they should have avoided doing in order to let us win this.
All the lakers haters will talk yor years about how on game 4th Howard missed the important FTs at the end and how they let "unidimensional" Fisher fire those 3pointers that clinched the title.
But hey, the history tells this history about a laker team that took the finals in 5 games and perhaps Orlando will have another chance in the furute.

The Tutelage of Phil Jackson
Pau Gasol and revisionist history
Game 4 and the Grand AH-WHOOM
Knowing What You Have: Why I Love Basketball, the Lakers and My Mom

Commissioner,
It would be a travesty to allow the Lakers to acquire Chris Paul in the apparent trade being discussed.
This trade should go to a vote of the 29 owners of the Hornets.
Over the next three seasons this deal would save the Lakers approximately $20 million in salaries and approximately $21 million in luxury taxes. That $21 million goes to non-taxpaying teams and to fund revenue sharing.
I cannot remember ever seeing a trade where a team got by far the best player in the trade and saved over $40 million in the process. And it doesn’t appear that they would give up any draft picks, which might allow to later make a trade for Dwight Howard. (They would also get a large trade exception that would help them improve their team and/or eventually trade for Howard.) When the Lakers got Pau Gasol (at the time considered an extremely lopsided trade) they took on tens of millions in additional salary and luxury tax and they gave up a number of prospects (one in Marc Gasol who may become a max-salary player).
I just don’t see how we can allow this trade to happen.
I know the vast majority of owners feel the same way that I do.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

“Maybe I’ll see you there tomorrow [at practice],” Odom said. “But I doubt it. You don’t want to go to no place you’re not wanted. I’ll try to give them what they want as much as possible.”
“Man, I’m just in total disbelief about all of this,” Odom continued. “They don’t want my services, for whatever reason. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I was proud to be a Laker, so I’ll try to help them in the process as much as possible.”

Pau's Laker career may have ended badly but without him the Lakers don't win those two titles.

Lakers won Game 3 of the NBA Finals 81 - 87
I was unable to watch today's game 'cause had to go to japanese lesson or The prncipla would have cancelled them for good because my group is getting really small.
I also should start studying chinese, but what I really need is to know what I want to do with my life.
but lets focus on today's game
Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 36 points and Sasha Vujacic added 20 as the Lakers defeated Boston, 87-81 in Game 3. The series moves to a 2-1 Celtics advantage with Game 4 scheduled for Thursday night.

Again....
Schaisse
Boston Celtics took game number 2 of the NBA finals
Lakers understood they needed to get more physical to compete with the Celtics but somehow that translated into foul problems in the 1st quarter, Kobe got 2, Vladimir Radmanovic picked up two fouls in the first two minutes and thusly Phil Jackson had to improvise and the bench was on the court too early and too long, those referees are really one sided, we can blame they but they have been a big factor becasuse the Celtics have been giving as much as they have been getting and it is not being called.
Somehow the Boston Celtic created a 24 pint lead that seemed unsurmountable and got really relaxed and the Lakers managed to get a huge rally to outscore them almost 2 to 1 in the final quarter to close the gap to 3 points but Posy and Pierce went to the line and hit their free throws

¿Así? no se vale

- L.A. Lakers: Is the 2011 NBA Playoffs the End of an Era?
Tonight, as they did on Monday, the Dallas Mavericks made the Lakers look old, tired and confused. The Mavs’ 93 to 81 victory in Game Two at Staples Center couldn’t have been any more convincing.

otro más - Black Mamba rises
Sunday, June 14, 2009
Is Lebron Better than Kobe?
He claims that the Cleveland Team isn't better than the Lakers and goes to compare the current Lakers team and he gets to the conclusion that every single player in Los Angeles would be the second best player in Cleveland and blaims Danny Ferry, General Manager for Cleveland of letting his best player "to win the war by himself" without a good supporting cast. which Kobe does have.
I don't know if Lebron is better that the Black Mamba, I have not seen enough of his games to make my mind about that, and I don't know if Orlando is choking and letting Lakers win, I do recall I said Orlando was my pic for taking this series and that players like Derek Fisher have been there on our darkest hours to save us.
Laker's 15th seems to be very close and I couldn't care less for the point of which one is better, the 24 is a great player and if people want to be really anal about this thing, we can't measure who's better because of the differences on weight and height, or can we?
By the way. Do you know what franchise among the NBA teams is ESPN's choice for the all time best?
Of course Los Angeles Lakers, despite Boston having more titles.

Lakers Preparing For The Brown Era?

- The deal is worth about $18 million over four years, the last year a team option

- Give us some time
¿a quien cortar?

Orlando Magic vs Los Angeles Lakers
